Job Summary
Conduct user research to understand behaviors and needs, then analyze feedback to inform design decisions. Develop high-quality user interfaces, including layout, typography, and visual elements, while creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate concepts. Design and iterate on user flows, information architecture, and interaction design, collaborating with developers to ensure technical feasibility. Perform usability testing to validate decisions and make necessary improvements, staying updated on industry trends and emerging design patterns. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design aligns with business goals and user needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, interaction design, graphic design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ Proven experience as a UI/UX designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and thought process
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
- Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies and their impact on design (HTML, CSS, etc.)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in cross-functional teams effectively
- Creative problem-solving skills and an ability to balance user needs with business goals
- Up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
- Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ Experience designing for mobile applications and/or web platforms
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines
- Familiarity with prototyping tools like InVision, Principle, or Adobe XD
- Experience with user interface animation and micro-interactions
- Understanding of front-end development frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Material Design)
- Familiarity with design thinking methodologies
