Job Summary
UI Software Engineer III responsible for designing and delivering secure, scalable software within JPMorgan Chase's Consumer and Community Banking Technology group. Key duties include executing software solutions, writing high-quality production code, producing architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, analyzing large data sets for continuous improvement, identifying data-driven improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture, and contributing to engineering communities of practice. Required skills include formal software engineering training or certification, 3+ years of practical experience, proficiency in ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SASS/LESS, Git, and Webpack, solid SDLC knowledge, and experience with agile practices (CI/CD, security). Preferred: familiarity with microservices (Spring Boot) and exposure to cloud technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
- 3+ years of applied software engineering experience
- Proficient in ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SASS/LESS
- Experience with Git and Webpack
- Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies (CI/CD, security)
- Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns
- Experience delivering production code and troubleshooting
- Ability to analyze large data sets and build visualizations
