Job Summary
UI Programmer for Unreal Engine games (Fortnite ecosystem). Design and implement UI systems in C++ for PC/console/mobile, collaborating with artists, designers, and other programmers on features that support player experiences. Optimize and fix bugs in UI and related systems; build relationships with Art, Design, Product, and Performance teams; write maintainable, well-documented code with extensibility in mind; maintain strong attention to detail for functionality and readability; familiarity with UI frameworks (UMG/Slate) and UI/UX concepts; capable of functioning effectively in a remote, cross-disciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of C++ and technical fundamentals
- Experience developing UI features for console (direct mobile experience or knowledge is a plus)
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully in a remote, cross-disciplinary team environment
- Interest in games or interactive experiences, and UI/UX design principles
- UMG and Slate experience is a plus
