UI Engineer

Job Summary
UI Engineer to design and develop visually appealing, highly-functional user interfaces for web and mobile applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap; collaborate with engineers to implement frontend UX and build common components; lead brainstorming and UI process improvements across cross-functional teams; ensure cohesive experience across pages/views and support/maintain production code; Beloit, WI-based role with no remote option and eligibility to work in the United States; strong knowledge of Vue, React or Angular, responsive design, accessibility/usability, and Agile; bonus points for STEM degree and OSS contributions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of related experience
- Strong knowledge of HTML, HTML5 (local storage ideal), CSS3, and CSS Preprocessors
- Experience with popular Javascript frameworks such as Vue, React or Angular
- Knowledge of responsive design techniques and popular frameworks (Bootstrap, etc.)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Product accessibility, usability experience and knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM preferred
- Contributions to OSS projects or Stackoverflow (bonus points)
