Job Summary
Create UI designs for products and services within the Rakuten Ecosystem, translating product goals and strategies into clear visual expressions. Propose and implement UI improvements based on hypotheses addressing customer and business issues, while producing concept art, key visuals, and various creative assets. Design and specify motion design and micro-animations, build prototypes to support team discussions and validation, and create illustrations, pictograms, and graphics for web and app screens. Produce creatives for marketing and promotional initiatives, promoting design expression and process innovation using technologies such as generative AI.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of UI design experience for web, mobile, or app environments
- Ability to propose and execute design solutions for problem-solving
- Proficiency with UI design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.)
- Experience in motion design or micro-interactions
- Business-level Japanese
- Japanese resume
- Takes responsibility for output and achieves high-quality results
- Possesses design analysis and research skills and can explain decisions logically
- Demonstrates strong communication, coordination, and collaboration
- Able to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently
- Values teamwork and collaborates across functions
- Shows interest in business, marketing, and data analysis
- Motivated to explore new tools, methods, and design trends
- Adapts flexibly to change
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of persona development or customer journey analysis
- Familiarity with Material Design, HIG, or similar guidelines
- Knowledge or experience in motion graphics or animation
- Basic understanding or practical experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Knowledge or experience in DTP or print design
- Experience producing creatives for marketing or branding purposes
- Motivation to expand design expression with new tools and technologies
