Job Summary
Craft intuitive, elegant interfaces for BJAK's AI and financial products by transforming requirements into wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes. Design polished, user-centric experiences across mobile and web platforms for insurance, payments, claims, and investments while maintaining and evolving the company's design system. Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to deliver pixel-perfect implementations, iterate based on user feedback and analytics, and ensure accessibility and responsiveness across devices. Maintain visual consistency and simplify complex user journeys to build trust and reduce friction. This role is remote for candidates based in Portugal with strong English communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience designing digital products, with a strong focus on mobile applications
- Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design, interaction design and UI craftsmanship
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, prototyping and modern design workflows
- Strong understanding of mobile-first design principles, platform guidelines (iOS & Android) and responsive layouts
- Good understanding of UX principles, information architecture and user-centred design
- Ability to simplify complex user journeys into intuitive interfaces
- High attention to detail with strong visual hierarchy, typography and spacing
- Portfolio is required
- English is our primary working language across our global teams. Strong English communication skills are required
- Candidates must be based in Portugal
- Candidates who cannot clearly explain the rationale behind their design choices or their individual contributions
