Job Summary
Obtain necessary materials and permits, then oversee crew installation, maintenance, and repair of underground streetlighting systems. Coordinate daily digging and product placement tasks while performing switching procedures to isolate, splice, and terminate underground power lines. Drive heavy equipment to job sites, call in utilities, and properly phase, mark, and tag underground equipment. Facilitate daily toolbox talks, weekly safety inspections, and train new hires on trade skills. Ensure full compliance with MasTec or customer safety standards, assuming responsibility for project quality and timeliness. Requires Class A CDL and 3 years of supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment and general construction.
- 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more or 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships.
- Precise hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
Desired Qualifications
- 6 or more years of experience, including extensive experience supervising and training skilled labor.
