UGE Operator

Operate jobsite equipment safely, including mobile cranes, bulldozers, angle dozers, front end loaders, backhoes, excavators, track hoes, trenchers, and digger-derricks. Perform service, safety checks, and minor repairs on machines while checking oil and fluids. Inspect work areas to ensure they are staked or located prior to digging around all live utilities, both underground and overhead. Load trucks in a safe and accident-free manner. Train, guide, or oversee work of lower graded operators and laborers when needed. Comply with proper safety standards and procedures according to MasTec or the customer, whichever is higher. Work to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes to provide quality customer service. Assist as a laborer with the maintenance crew when not operating equipment.
