Job Summary
Drive truck to jobsite and maintain truck stock while providing services for the construction, operation, and maintenance of customer electrical distribution systems. Perform switching procedures to isolate, splice, and terminate underground power lines, set and work on underground transformers, and properly phase and mark equipment. Execute connecting, disconnecting, installing, and removal of various electrical devices on customer facilities. Investigate consumer complaints and make repairs to energized lines. Report all accidents immediately and set an example by teaching safe practices to less experienced employees. Maintain awareness of changes in records and reports affecting the position.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more or 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships.
- Precise hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
Desired Qualifications
- 5 or more years of experience.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
