Job Summary
Oversee daily construction and maintenance of underground power lines by managing multiple crews, scheduling resources, and coordinating logistics with internal and external departments. Perform switching procedures to isolate, splice, and terminate underground power lines, while driving, hauling, and operating heavy equipment to job sites. Read blueprints, obtain necessary permits, call in utilities at project sites, and ensure full compliance with safety standards through daily toolbox talks and weekly inspections. Train new hires and maintain production efficiency while prioritizing crew safety.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment and general construction.
- 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more or 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships.
- Precise hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
Desired Qualifications
- 6 or more years of experience, including extensive experience supervising and training skilled labor.
