Job Summary
Plan and deliver structured, effective group fitness classes, selecting appropriate music and incorporating safe, well-paced choreography. Demonstrate exercises while providing clear cueing and smooth transitions, educating participants on proper form, modifications, and contraindications. Ensure safe use of all equipment and enforce studio guidelines while welcoming and orienting new participants. Monitor participants and make real-time adjustments as needed to maintain a positive, inclusive class environment. Arrive prepared and start/end classes on schedule, setting up and properly storing all equipment. Accurately record hours in the electronic timekeeping system and operate studio sound and lighting systems. Secure substitutes when necessary and communicate member feedback or concerns to the Program Manager. Promote gym programs, services, and special events while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of exercise science principles and safe training techniques
- General understanding of anatomy and kinesiology
- Experience with group fitness instruction, including music timing and cueing
- High energy level and physical stamina
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly and effectively

- Current Group Fitness certification
- Les Mills BodyPump Certification
- Specialty format certifications
