Job Summary
Group Fitness Instructor at UFC GYM leads engaging, safe, and results-driven fitness classes in a studio setting. Responsible for class instruction, selecting appropriate music, cueing and demonstrating exercises with safe transitions, educating participants on proper form, modifications, and contraindications, ensuring safe use of equipment, welcoming new participants, motivating members, and making real-time adjustments. Administrative duties include arriving prepared, setting up/storing equipment, recording hours in the timekeeping system, operating studio sound and lighting, arranging substitutes, communicating feedback to the Program Manager, promoting gym programs and events, and maintaining a professional appearance. Requires strong knowledge of exercise science, anatomy, kinesiology, experience delivering group fitness classes, high energy, excellent communication, and current Group Fitness certification (preferred). Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of exercise science principles and safe training techniques
- General understanding of anatomy and kinesiology
- Experience with group fitness instruction, including music timing and cueing
- High energy level and physical stamina
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly and effectively
- Certifications: Current Group Fitness certification (preferred)
- Specialty format certifications may be required based on class offerings
