Job Summary
Lead and deliver structured group fitness classes, selecting appropriate music and incorporating safe, well-paced choreography. Demonstrate exercises with clear cueing and smooth transitions; educate participants on proper form, modifications, and contraindications; ensure safe use of equipment and enforce studio guidelines; orient new participants; motivate members and foster an inclusive class environment; monitor participants and adjust in real time. Handle administrative duties such as recording hours, setting up/storing equipment, operating studio sound and lighting, arranging substitutes, and communicating member feedback to the Program Manager. Promote gym programs, services, and special events. Required Qualifications
- Current Group Fitness certification (preferred)
- Specialty format certifications may be required based on class offerings
- Strong knowledge of exercise science principles and safe training techniques
- General understanding of anatomy and kinesiology
- Experience with group fitness instruction, including music timing and cueing
- High energy level and physical stamina
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly and effectively
