Job Summary
Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul of UC-35 aircraft and subsystems to ensure airworthiness. Use technical data to troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and repair or replace faulty components. Conduct operational checks on repaired or modified systems. Requires UC-35 Avionics experience and knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionics components, troubleshooting, and replacement procedures. Read and interpret manufacturers’ manuals, service bulletins, and technical orders. Maintain and repair flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components; perform structural repairs and rigging as needed. Must hold FAA A&P certificate and have a minimum of seven years hands-on UC-35 aircraft and avionics experience. US Citizenship is required to obtain a US Government Secret Security Clearance to work on a military installation. Will be required to travel to remote locations; physical and medical requirements apply. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- FAA A&P certificate required
- Minimum seven (7) years hands-on UC-35 Aircraft mechanic experience
- UC-35 Avionics mechanic experience required
- US Citizenship required to obtain and maintain US Govt Secret Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Govt Secret Security Clearance
- Recent full-time aviation maintenance and avionics/electrical experience on UC-35 within the past 12 months preferred
- Must be able to travel to and between remote locations in austere environments
- Must meet physical and vision requirements as specified (BMI, 20/20 vision, etc.)
- Must possess or obtain appropriate facility credentials and authorization
- Must be able to obtain passport and international travel readiness
- Security clearance requirements: ability to obtain and maintain clearance
