Job Summary
UA Associate to support and work closely with experienced Underwriters in the review and analysis of risks. The role involves evaluating risk exposures, loss history, and financial condition to aid underwriting decisions, assisting with policy rating, coverage construction, and mandatory forms, and providing end-to-end servicing for new business, renewals, and endorsements. Provides basic customer service in broker/agent/distributor interactions, works under supervision with underwriters, and utilizes strong analytical and data-collection skills. Hybrid work with occasional in-office attendance in Chicago, IL; travel up to 5%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance area
- Knowledge of data collection and analysis
- Microsoft Office experience
