U109 Engineering Technician C - 1st Shift

Job Summary
Construct, wire, bond, test and modify breadboard circuitry and micro circuit equipment under guidance, selecting components and making elementary layout decisions from sketches and verbal instructions. Perform laboratory tests and measurements in electro-mechanical-optical equipment using instrumentation (oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ammeters) and interpret data to assess reliability. Troubleshoot components and simple interrelated circuits, prepare and submit test results and reports to higher classified personnel. Requires knowledge of electronic principles, ability to assemble circuits and operate basic test equipment. Education: high school diploma or equivalent plus an Associates Degree (or two years of college with a major in Electronics or equivalent military training). Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance (SCI access). This is an SEA union represented, 1st shift position. Relocation assistance may be available.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or recognized equivalent
- Associates Degree (minimum 60 semester hours) or two years college with major in Electronics or six months military electronic school plus two years experience
- U.S. Citizenship
- ability to obtain U.S. Government Secret clearance and SCI access
