Job Summary

Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping across all accounts, ensuring transactions are consistently categorized in QuickBooks and reconciled for bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms. Track and manage cash flow on an ongoing basis, supporting leadership with forecasts and liquidity insights while flagging potential risks early. Review, document, and optimize internal financial workflows to improve expense tracking, billing processes, and internal controls, ensuring systems are efficient, scalable, and well-documented. Prepare clear, structured financial reports for internal use and support budgeting through clean, organized data. Work closely with external CPAs during tax filings, audits, and reviews, ensuring compliance with U.S. accounting standards and internal policies. This fully remote, independent contractor role offers competitive compensation with performance-based bonuses, paid time off including U.S. federal holidays, and Pacific Time-aligned hours with a minimum of six hours of overlap. A 3-month probationary period applies to support onboarding and performance alignment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • at least 2 years in a bookkeeping or accounting role for a U.S. company
  • Strong expertise in QuickBooks
  • Proven experience with detailed categorization and financial cleanup
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
  • maintain a minimum of 6 hours of overlap with the firm's operating hours in Pacific Time (PT)
