Job Summary
Private Banker (Vice President) for JPMorgan Chase’s U.S. Private Bank focused on advising families on building, preserving and managing wealth. Responsible for understanding client needs, delivering holistic balance-sheet solutions across investments, wealth planning, credit and banking, and generating new client assets. Collaborates with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise, connects clients across lines of business, and ensures solutions align with short-, medium-, and long-term goals while adhering to risk and control policies. Requires strong client-management and relationship-building skills, experience in investments and wealth concepts, and licensed credentials (Series 7, 66, and Insurance; licensing to be obtained within 90 days if needed). Highly valued are proven sales success, a robust professional network, and the ability to communicate clearly and present effectively with clients and partners. Preferred qualifications include MBA/JD/CFA/CFP and deep knowledge of equity/fixed income, alternatives, hedge funds, private equity, and real estate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Six plus years of work experience in Private Banking or Financial Services
- Series 7, 66 and Insurance licenses required for position; unlicensed candidates considered, but required to obtain licenses within 90 days of start date
- Proven sales success and strong business acumen
- Strong community presence with an established network
- Experience or demonstrated understanding of investments, wealth planning, credit and banking concepts
- Focuses on the client experience and works tirelessly on the client’s behalf
