Job Summary
Private Banker in J.P. Morgan's U.S. Private Bank is responsible for advising families on building, preserving and managing their wealth, using knowledge of investments, financial planning, credit and banking to advise clients on balance sheets and generate new client acquisition. You will manage relationships, deliver targeted advice, develop solutions, and collaborate with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise, connecting clients across lines of business and ensuring solutions meet short-, medium-, and long-term objectives through holistic, goals-based planning. Requires three-plus years in private banking or financial services, a Bachelor’s Degree, Series 7/66 and Insurance licenses (or willingness to obtain within 90 days), proven sales success, strong business acumen, and an established community network; preferred qualifications include MBA/JD/CFA/CFP and deep knowledge of equity and fixed income markets, private equity, hedge funds, and real estate. The role is located in New York, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Three plus years of work experience in Private Banking or Financial Services
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Series 7, 66 and Insurance licenses required; unlicensed candidates considered, but required to obtain licenses within 90 days of start date
- Proven sales success and strong business acumen
- Strong community presence with an established network
- Experience or demonstrated understanding of investments, wealth planning, credit and banking concepts
- Focuses on the client experience and works tirelessly on the client’s behalf
