Job Summary
Private Banker in J.P. Morgan’s U.S. Private Bank responsible for advising families on building, preserving and managing wealth. You will manage client relationships, generate new assets from existing and new clients, advise on balance sheet needs including investments, wealth planning, credit and banking, and partner with internal specialists to deliver interdisciplinary solutions. You’ll connect clients across lines of business, ensure solutions meet short-, medium-, and long-term goals through holistic goals-based planning, and adhere to risk and control policies. The role requires a track record of sales success, a strong professional network, and deep knowledge of investments, wealth planning, credit, and banking concepts. A Bachelor’s Degree is required; Series 7 and 66 licenses and Insurance licenses are required within 90 days if not already held. MBA/JD/CFA/CFP are preferred enhancements; the candidate should demonstrate proactive problem-solving, clear communication, and executive-level presentation skills to serve high-net-worth clients.
Required Qualifications
- Six plus years of work experience in Private Banking or Financial Services
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Series 7, 66 and Insurance licenses required; unlicensed candidates considered, but required to obtain licenses within 90 days of start date
- Proven sales success and strong business acumen
- Strong community presence with an established network
- Experience or demonstrated understanding of investments, wealth planning, credit and banking concepts
- Focuses on the client experience and works tirelessly on the client’s behalf
