Job Summary
Apply business improvement and reengineering principles to natural resources organizational development and process modernization projects. Facilitate project teams to maintain focus on execution, support personnel transitions, and drive knowledge transfer through group facilitation, interviewing, and training. Offer expert advice on methodology development, change management, organizational development, activity and data modeling, performance measurement, and benchmarking. Assist or lead discussions and meetings with customer staff while demonstrating creative problem-solving and strong communication skills. Work remotely during regular business hours, occasionally supporting field activities in outdoor environments across the U.S. and abroad. This role supports dozens of complex U.S. Forest Service projects within a contract contingent upon award.
Required Qualifications
- Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to complete background investigations and Personal Identity Verification (PIV)
- Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience, OR Master's degree and 8 years of experience; in business, management, information systems, or other related fields
- Must possess facilitation, management consulting training, or business improvement skills and techniques
- Must proficiently use tools and techniques associated with business improvements
- Must be able to assist or lead in the facilitation of discussions and meetings with customer staff
