U-Box Warehouse Worker

Job Summary
U-Box Warehouse Workers operate an 8,000-lb forklift to load/unload storage containers onto/off truck beds for delivery to/from a storage facility, provide friendly customer service, assist with item sales and use of dispatch/rental systems, perform inspections of U-Box containers, prepare documentation for deliveries/pickups, keep the warehouse clean and secure, and participate in ongoing U-Haul education (U-Haul University). The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license with a good driving record, ability to lift at least 50 lbs, and adherence to vehicular regulations; physical work is indoors/outdoors with potential exposure to moving parts, fumes, and protective gear as needed. The position is based in Charlotte, NC, US, and is a full-time, in-person role with potential for advancement and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record
- Adhere to all local state (provincial) and federal vehicular regulations while driving
- Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs
- Experience operating an 8,000-lb forklift or willingness to train (propane forklift or truck-mounted forklift)
- Customer service abilities and ability to use online dispatch and rental systems
- Ability to perform inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return
