Job Summary
Operate an 8,000-lb propane or truck-mounted forklift to load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility. Ensure timely delivery, provide customer assistance including the sale of support items and use of online dispatch and rental systems, and perform customer-ready inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return. Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods while maintaining a clean, dry, and secure warehouse storage facility. Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain a good driving record
- Ability to operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift
- Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted
- Adherence to all local state (provincial) and federal vehicular regulations while driving
