Job Summary
Operate a flatbed truck and forklift to load, unload, and transport U-Box storage containers to customer homes and businesses on local routes. Ensure friendly and courteous service while maintaining safety precautions around moving parts, fumes, or chemicals. Maintain a clean motor vehicle driving record and participate in ongoing U-Haul University education. Requires a Commercial driver's license (CDL), high school diploma, and DOT certification. Must be 18 or older.
Required Qualifications
- Clean motor vehicle driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Department of Transportation certification
- Commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Must be 18 or older
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs assisted or unassisted
- Must be able to operate a flatbed truck
- Must be able to operate an 8000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift
- Must be able to load and unload storage containers
- Must be able to transport storage containers to and from specified destinations
- Must not use nicotine products
