Job Summary
Maintenance Generalist responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Performs routine preventive maintenance, diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; responds to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime; completes corrective and emergency maintenance; follows work orders and documents activities in the CMMS; assists with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications; conducts inspections to identify potential failures or safety hazards; coordinates maintenance with Production and Sanitation; maintains tools and work areas; complies with OSHA/USDA/food safety policies and procedures; follows lockout/tagout, PPE, and safe work practices; participates in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives; works in a fresh plant environment and is expected to perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- MUST have 6 months of previous general maintenance experience with a single employer within the past 12 months or equivalent school training
- MUST have a valid State Driver's License
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be checked post-offer and received by Tyson before candidate is moved into position
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
- Lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE compliance
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
