Job Summary
General Production Labor in Tyson Foods' Wilkesboro Fresh Plant (2nd shift) performing manual and production-related tasks to support processing, packaging, and material handling. Responsibilities include product handling, sorting, staging, maintaining continuous product flow, identifying quality defects, assisting with setup/changeovers, following SOPs and food-safety requirements, reporting concerns, keeping areas clean and organized, and adhering to OSHA and Tyson safety policies. Must be able to work in a cold, wet, or humid environment and wear required PPE. Benefits start day one; 2nd shift with differential pay. Must meet physical requirements and comply with plant procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, production, or general labor preferred
- Experience in food manufacturing or fresh plant operations a plus
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Compliance with safety policies and procedures
