Job Summary
General Production Labor at Tyson Foods in Wilkesboro (1st shift) provides hands-on support to production operations by performing a variety of manual and production-related tasks to sustain product flow, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities include assisting with processing, packaging, and material handling; sorting, stacking, and staging product; maintaining clean and organized work areas; monitoring product for defects and reporting concerns; supporting line setup and changeovers; following SOPs, food-safety, sanitation, and allergen-control requirements; complying with OSHA and Tyson safety policies; and utilizing required PPE in a cold, wet, or humid fresh-plant environment. Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, safety and quality focus, and the physical ability to perform tasks as described.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in manufacturing, production, or general labor preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds
- Commitment to safety, food safety, and quality
