Job Summary
Industrial Maintenance Millwright role focused on maintaining and repairing production equipment with hydraulic and pneumatic controls in a cast iron pipe and fittings manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include coordinating and assisting with construction, fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment; diagnosing and repairing mechanical systems; interpreting blueprints and technical drawings; troubleshooting to minimize downtime; ordering parts; working with electrical hand tools, power tools, and PPE; communicating status to supervisors and maintenance scheduler; and passing a written exam, background check, drug screening, and physical fitness test. Eligible for up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus within the first 180 days; opportunities for stability and growth within McWane family.
Required Qualifications
- Pass a written exam to demonstrate knowledge of various millwright topics
- Pass an employment background check, drug screening, and physical fitness test
- Verifiable and consistent work experience
- Ability to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems malfunctions
- Understanding of correct handling and use of mechanical repair tools and equipment
- Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Willingness to work when needed and to help across a variety of machines
- Commitment to safety and PPE compliance
