Job Summary
Assemble trailer components using hand-held welding and flame-cutting equipment by studying blueprints, gathering parts, and fastening subassemblies. Correct welds with scrapers or grinders, move heavy loads via overhead crane, and verify specifications through self-inspection. Resolve assembly issues by altering dimensions and notify supervisors for resources while maintaining equipment through preventive maintenance. Document all actions on production and quality forms, ensuring a safe environment with proper PPE. Students of Tulsa Welding School must complete schoolwork before the September 11, 2026 on-campus visit.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year welding experience
- Proven ability to weld using MIG hand-held welder
- Basic understand of Shop Math
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and specification
- Ability to work overtime as required including Saturdays
