Job Summary
Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning® curriculum and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities while modeling positive guidance strategies for social-emotional growth. Observe, assess, and document children's development to inform activities and share insights with families. Maintain open communication with guardians regarding progress and daily activities. Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers to foster a collaborative team environment. Participate actively in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- 1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
- Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty members
