Job Summary
Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning® curriculum and manage daily classroom activities to support each child's growth. Maintain a safe, inclusive environment while supervising indoor and outdoor play, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and health standards. Communicate regularly with families regarding child progress and document learning observations to inform future activities. Collaborate with Assistant and Resource Teachers, modeling positive guidance strategies to foster social-emotional development and conflict resolution. Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching skills. No nights or weekends; competitive salary with childcare discounts and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- 1-2 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
- Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families and faculty members
