Job Summary
Install Bi Directional Amplifiers (BDA), equipment, and associated components, and install 2-way radios in commercial and public safety vehicles. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide solutions to customer problems, while completing service visit paperwork. Proficient in electrical circuit troubleshooting, test equipment operation, and radio programming and repair. Experience includes mobile and base station radio installations, RF theory and design, NFPA Codes, IP Networking, and system infrastructure construction. Must be able to climb ladders and work on rooftops. Requires a high school diploma, one-year vehicle installation experience, and an electronics background.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one-year vehicle installation experience
- Electronics/Applied Electronics background
- Must be able to climb ladders and work on roof tops
- Must be proficient in electrical circuit trouble-shooting and operation of test equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Public Safety vehicle installations
- Knowledge of physical network components, switches, routers, T1 circuits
- iBwave certification/experience
- CET certification and/or FCC license
- General Radio Operators License (GROL)
- OSHA 10 or higher
