Job Summary
Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with developmental milestones and PGDS Standards while facilitating songs, games, and storytelling. Manage daily classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks, and meals, ensuring children receive basic needs and tools for exploration. Observe and evaluate student performance, behavior, and development, adapting instructional methods to meet varying needs. Encourage peer interaction to build social skills and confer with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding behavioral or academic concerns. Attend staff meetings and ongoing training sessions while demonstrating professional integrity. Clear a background check required for employment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, teaching certificate or credential or equivalent professional experience which would translate to successful classroom teaching
- Experience teaching young children and solid understanding of child development
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all constituents
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to clear a background check
