Job Summary
Maintain classroom supervision and implement child behavior plans while fostering positive self-esteem through respectful interactions. Support the teaching team in daily set-up, maintaining orderly environments and managing classroom documents such as meal counts and rosters. Develop meaningful relationships with parents through open communication and promptly direct relevant feedback to supervisors. Obtain and maintain Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification, adhere to all NBCC policies, and participate in regular self-assessment and performance evaluations. Work collegially with staff, obtain substitutes when needed, and attend scheduled staff development days.
Required Qualifications
- 2 – 5 years of experience in ECE program
- 12 – 24 ECE units
- CTC Associate Teacher permit
- Associate Child Development Teaching Permit or higher
- at least 6 months classroom experience
- Child Development Associate Permit or higher (within 6 months of NBCC employment)
- Pediatric First Aid certification
- Pediatric CPR certification
- Valid Driver's License (if transporting children)
- Child Abuse Managed Reporter Training (online)
- Proof of Immunizations for MMR, Tdap & Flu
- Current CPR & First Aid
- Health clearance by a physician
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Range of movement including squatting, bending, reaching, standing, and sitting
- Proof of current Immunizations (Measles, Pertussis, Influenza, COVID-19)
- T.B. clearance within the past year
