Job Summary
Foster curiosity, creativity, and compassion in children while helping them develop a lifelong love of learning. Build genuine relationships with each child and assist them in learning language, literacy, science, life skills, and more. Work with a co-teacher to implement lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum and maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages exploration and decision-making. Discover what works best for each child as you teach them about the world around them. This role requires availability to work 40 hours each week and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for child safety and program facilitation.
Required Qualifications
- 2- or 4-year degree in education or related field OR equivalent direct experience as a teacher
- Ability to Pass a Background check
- Availability to work 40 hours each week
- Proven track record working with children in a preschool, daycare or school setting
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
Desired Qualifications
- Pre-Kindergarten Teachers: 4-year degree in early childhood or related field preferred
- Openness to learning and interest in continuing to develop yourself through building your teaching, leadership and teamwork abilities
