Job Summary
Senior-level Budget Officer responsible for highly complex budget preparation and analysis, including the annual operating budget, analyzing budget requests, and preparing the biennial Legislative Appropriations Request; prepares department-level budgetary and management reports, reviews expenditures, and provides technical assistance. May train others and works under limited supervision with initiative and judgment. Must be familiar with ABEST, USAS, CAPPS/HCM systems, and government budgeting processes; travel up to 5% and in-office duties in Austin, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
- Five years of relevant work experience in financial management, bookkeeping or budget preparation and analysis
