Job Summary
Handle and maintain material flow on the premises by lifting, carrying, and stacking components to optimize movement. Operate motorized and non-motorized equipment under direct supervision while attending safety meetings and observing all procedures to prevent injury. Respond to training from senior handlers to improve knowledge of work processes. Perform tasks involving climbing, pushing, or kneeling, with a requirement to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally. This entry-level position includes on-the-job training for high school graduates.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Knowledge of and ability to use motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment
- Manual dexterity
- Knowledge of safety procedures while performing materials handling tasks
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds
