Job Summary
Curate and schedule TV programming for cruise ships, ensuring a diverse and engaging selection of shows and movies. Monitor and maintain broadcast equipment while troubleshooting technical issues to guarantee uninterrupted service. Collaborate with other departments to align programming with guest experience goals and manage relationships with TV providers to negotiate contracts. Train and supervise junior staff, providing guidance on operational standards. Stay current with industry trends to recommend new content options. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Communications or Broadcasting, three years of TV programming experience, and the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Broadcasting, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in TV programming, preferably in the hospitality or cruise industry
- Strong knowledge of TV broadcasting equipment and technical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in managing and supervising a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
