Tutor

Tutors (Individualized Learning Specialists) work with a team of teachers to support all students by guiding and supervising centers/developmental play, pulling small groups for targeted literacy and/or math interventions, and delivering lessons aligned to students’ Individualized Learning Plans. They conduct monthly progress monitoring, communicate results to families and teachers, collaborate with grade-level teams, maintain Learning Lab materials and classroom resources, and help create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment that motivates students to participate in described activities and centers. The role emphasizes data-informed intervention decisions, effective communication with staff and families, and a commitment to Rocketship’s mission to improve student achievement in public schools.
