Job Summary
Provide one-on-one or small group academic tutoring in subjects like literacy, technology, and online course access. Determine concepts requiring re-teaching by reviewing student notes, binders, and teacher evaluations, then conduct mini-lessons, brainstorming sessions, and peer critique groups. Offer basic technical support for course setup and maintain learning environment control through discipline and positive role modeling. Communicate frequently with teachers, parents, and students regarding progress, outreach, and retention using company technologies. Review course schedules for accuracy, assist with testing and assessments, and perform assigned administrative duties while adhering to all school regulations and attendance policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent, and two years of college (48 units), or Associate degree (or higher)
- Related tutorial and mentoring experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in subject matter competency
- Proficient level of skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other technology applications
- Ability to travel in performance of job duties
