Job Summary
Conduct tutorial sessions in math, science, language arts, and humanities while hosting necessary tutoring to meet student needs. Implement a consistent behavior management system that aligns with campus-wide initiatives to develop character and community. Facilitate personal use of technology to improve achievement and manage tasks, then determine concepts requiring instruction or retaught based on student notes. Deliver mini-lessons in writing processes, study skills, and college preparation across all subject areas. Communicate frequently with the College counseling team regarding student progress and concerns. Minimum of 10-20 hours spent at school per week.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 48 hours of college credit with a minimum 2.5 GPA
- two years of full-time instructional experience in a K-12 school
- Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
- Knowledge of subject assigned
- Creative problem solving and team skills
- Minimum of 10-20 hours spent at school per week
Desired Qualifications
- Tuition Reimbursement: Staff members may apply for up to 50% of tuition paid toward a qualifying degree program, up to $5,250 maximum per year subject to manager discretion and budget availability
