Job Summary
Facilitate technology use to improve student achievement and manage tasks while implementing a consistent behavior management system. Conduct tutorial sessions in math, science, language arts, and humanities, including mini-lessons on writing processes, study skills, and college preparation. Determine concepts requiring instruction from student notes and host sessions to meet individual needs. Establish cooperative relationships with students and families based on trust and respect. Communicate frequently with the college counseling team regarding student progress. Work a minimum of 10-20 hours per week in Road to and Through College classrooms.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 48 hours of college credit with a minimum 2.5 GPA
- two years of full-time instructional experience in a K-12 school
- Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
- Knowledge of subject assigned
- Creative problem solving and team skills
- Minimum of 10-20 hours spent at school per week
Desired Qualifications
- Tuition Reimbursement: Staff members may apply for up to 50% of tuition paid toward a qualifying degree program, up to $5,250 maximum per year subject to manager discretion and budget availability
