Job Summary
Facilitate technology use to improve student achievement and manage work tasks. Implement consistent behavior management systems that align with campus-wide initiatives while developing student character. Conduct tutorial sessions in math, science, language arts, and humanities, including mini-lessons on writing processes and study skills. Determine concepts needing instruction or reteaching based on student notes and discussions. Host necessary tutoring sessions to meet all students' needs while communicating frequently with the College counseling team regarding progress. Maintain cooperative relationships with students and families based on trust and respect. Work a minimum of 10-20 hours per week within the Road to and Through College classrooms.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 48 hours of college credit with a minimum 2.5 GPA
- two years of full-time instructional experience in a K-12 school
- Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
- Knowledge of subject assigned
- Creative problem solving and team skills
- Minimum of 10-20 hours spent at school per week
Desired Qualifications
- Tuition Reimbursement: Staff members may apply for up to 50% of tuition paid toward a qualifying degree program, up to $5,250 maximum per year subject to manager discretion and budget availability
