Job Summary
Facilitate technology use to improve student achievement and implement a consistent behavior management system that fosters a productive learning environment. Conduct tutorial sessions in math, science, language arts, and humanities while leading mini-lessons in writing, study skills, and college preparation. Work with students through the entire writing process and determine concepts requiring reteaching based on student notes. Establish cooperative relationships with students and families, and communicate frequently with the College counseling team regarding progress. Host necessary tutoring sessions to meet all student needs within the Road to and Through College classrooms. Minimum of 10-20 hours spent at school per week.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 48 hours of college credit with a minimum 2.5 GPA
- two years of full-time instructional experience in a K-12 school
- Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
- Knowledge of subject assigned
- Creative problem solving and team skills
- Minimum of 10-20 hours spent at school per week
Desired Qualifications
- Tuition Reimbursement: Staff members may apply for up to 50% of tuition paid toward a qualifying degree program, up to $5,250 maximum per year subject to manager discretion and budget availability
