Job Summary
Develop and implement high-quality tutoring experiences by assessing students' individual needs and providing individual and small group instruction based on those needs. Collaborate with classroom teachers to determine specific student needs and communicate with staff about student progress. Support the use of digital tools during tutoring sessions while maintaining a clean and orderly environment. Monitor student safety and well-being, particularly during inclusive activities, and operate common office machines to maintain basic files and records. This temporary part-time role involves 19 hours or less per week for 10 months with no benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 48 hours of college level coursework
- Teaching licensure (Current or Expired)
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to constantly monitor the safety and well-being of students, particularly when student is participating in an inclusive activity
- Ability to motivate students
- Ability to maintain a clean and orderly environment
- Ability to operate common office machines
- Ability to maintain basic files and records
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' experience as a classroom teacher is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of research-based, current curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices
- General Knowledge of daily routines of the classroom
- General knowledge of student handbook rules
- General knowledge of procedures to follow in the event of an emergency
- General knowledge of the curriculum for the grade
