Job Summary
Develop and implement high-quality tutoring experiences for students by assessing individual needs and providing targeted instruction in small groups and individually. Collaborate with classroom teachers to determine specific student needs and communicate progress to staff. Support the use of digital tools during sessions while maintaining a clean, orderly environment and monitoring student safety. This temporary part-time role, lasting 10 months with 19 hours or less per week, requires a current or expired teaching licensure and minimum 48 hours of college coursework. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of research-based curriculum practices and classroom routines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 48 hours of college level coursework
- Teaching licensure (Current or Expired) to receive higher rate of pay
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' experience as a classroom teacher is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of research-based, current curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices
- General Knowledge of daily routines of the classroom
- General knowledge of student handbook rules
- General knowledge of procedures to follow in the event of an emergency
- General knowledge of the curriculum for the grade
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to constantly monitor the safety and well-being of students, particularly when student is participating in an inclusive activity
- Ability to motivate students
- Ability to maintain a clean and orderly environment
- Ability to operate common office machines
- Ability to maintain basic files and records
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments
