Job Summary
Provide 1:1 or small group tutoring for assigned students while implementing high stakes testing instructional strategies to stimulate learning and increase engagement. Use designated tutoring materials from Google Drive, take ownership of student academic progress and attendance, and support data collection for appropriate intervention and enrichment lessons. Collaborate with Interventionists, coaches, and administrators regarding instruction, resources, and data-driven decision making, while recording student data in the UCP Progress Monitoring spreadsheet. Open to regular coaching and provide ongoing feedback on student performance. Requires a valid Florida teaching certificate, two years of classroom experience with diverse learners, and strong expertise in Google Classroom and high stakes testing strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Florida teaching certificate
- Minimum of 2 years classroom teaching experience students with and without disabilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others including individuals with diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Strong expertise in Google Classroom and Google Drive
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education preferred
- Prefer experience tutoring and/or small group instruction
- Excellent high stakes testing strategies to included but not limited to utilizing educational apps and software to enhance virtual lessons
