Tutor and Lecturer in Missiology

Job Summary
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate missiology courses at the London Teaching Centre while assessing student work and supervising BA and MA dissertations. Serve as a Formation Group Tutor providing academic, pastoral, and ministerial support, and guide ordinands through placement engagement and vocational development. Contribute to curriculum development, maintain an active research profile through publication and conferences, and lead in the College's worshipping community via preaching and residential participation. This role requires a PhD in relevant missiology fields and proven teaching experience at diploma, BA, and MA levels.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience and high standards in teaching Missiology at Diploma, BA level, and MA level
- PhD in field relevant for teaching specialism
- Flexible, reliable self-starter who is able to collaborate and work well with others
- Strong inter-personal and pastoral skills
- Support of St Mellitus College's mission to 'provide innovative theological education and training for those called to serve Christ in the church and the world'
- Support for the training of men and women alongside each other for ordained, licensed lay and wider ministry
- Support of St Mellitus College's commitment to Generous Orthodoxy which trains ordinands in such a way that all mainstream traditions of the Church have proper recognition and provision within the training
- Attendance and involvement in a local church context
