Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one math tutoring sessions for up to three students simultaneously, utilizing pre-planned lessons and Oxford Learning's proprietary methodologies. Deliver instruction in both online and in-person formats while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor. Complete daily student communication updates and fill in post-lesson notes to track progress. Work evenings Monday through Thursday and Saturdays, with a preference for a commitment through the school year and summer. Applicants must reside near Blainville, QC, and hold a CEGEP or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Required Qualifications
- CEGEP, Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Good knowledge of the current Grades 7-11 math and science curriculum
- Some experience teaching/tutoring math and science at a Grade 7 to 11 (or equivalent) level
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong math skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Must be able to commute to this location
- Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Blainville area
- All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours (4:00pm - 8:00pm) as well as Saturdays (9:00am - 1:00pm)
- A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred
- Continuing through the summer is even better
- Being reliable is a must
