Job Summary
Set up and operate turret, laser, and combo fabrication equipment to produce quality sheet metal parts according to customer specifications and blueprints. Verify part loading and surface preparation, confirm machine settings and tooling, and perform routine maintenance on state-of-the-art Amada equipment. Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions, out-of-tolerance machining, or workpiece defects, adjusting controls and material stop gauges as required. Perform punching across various materials, diameters, and shapes while studying blueprints and drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and setup sequences. Document actions by completing production and quality forms and collaborate with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining problems. This 1st shift role runs Monday through Thursday from 5:00am to 3:30pm within Lake Air Products' contract manufacturing facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience operating/setting up turret punch press machines (LVD Strippit)) in a metal fabrication environment (Preferred)
